Most recently I visited Lima, Peru with the humanitarian organization from Canada, Voluntarios de Santa Cruz.  We set up a makeshift clinic in a small school in the lowest income area of Lima.  In 8 clinic days we were able to treat 2854 patients between myself, 2 other doctors and some medical students.  The Peruvian people are amazing and were very grateful for any help we could offer.  Some patients had lived a majority of their lives legally blind by American standards and we were able to provide prescription eyewear to these patients on location.  I can't tell you how many people offered blessings and
