Dr. Casey Packer

Dr. Casey Packer is a certified optometric glaucoma specialist and therapeutic optometrist in Austin, Texas. He was born in the Dallas area but raised in East Texas. He attended the University of Texas at Austin receiving a degree in biology. He then enrolled in the four year doctorate of optometry program at the University of Houston. He completed rotations at one of the largest optometry practices in Austin and then another rotation at St. Erik’s Eye Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden. After moving back to Austin he opened his practice, Lone Star Eye. His training specialized in ocular disease, keratoconus, Dry eye syndrome, glaucoma, pediatrics, and custom contact lens fitting.

Dr. Packer continues to volunteer services throughout the community and to those internationally. Those services include medical mission trips to peru, Ecuador and mexico.  Check out our Giving back Page to see how Dr. Packer continues to provide pro bono care to those in need.  He's also a big fan of his two french bulldogs, Pierre & Pintxo!

Dr. Chelsea Wahl

Dr. Chelsea Wahl is a certified optometric glaucoma specialist and therapeutic optometrist who recently joined Lone Star Eye. She completed her undergraduate studies at The University of Southern Mississippi, receiving a degree in biochemistry. She then earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 2016.

She completed her rotations at Piedmont EyeCare in Charlotte, NC and Eye Foundation of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT. During these rotations, she learned extensive knowledge relating to ocular disease, glaucoma, and specialty contact lenses. Since graduating, she has specialized in pediatrics and primary care.

Chelsea is a native of Mississippi, but has currently relocated to Austin with her dog, Sezzy. She enjoys traveling, hiking, and exploring new places. While in Memphis, she volunteered weekly at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and hopes to continue her volunteer work in Austin. She’s excited about becoming a part of the LSE team and looks forward to meeting you!
